OK, on the same day I received my "not Bitty", I also received an AG girls' size dress. Instead of size M like the auction stated, it was size 16. After double checking what the auction said, I e-mailed the seller asking if she had possibly sent the wrong one to me. She replied that it was a typo and she'd happily refund my money and I could keep the dress. I looked a little closer at the auction and, sure enough, in one of the pictures you could read 16 on the tag if you looked close enough. I told her I'd be happy to split the difference with her since it was partially my fault for not looking closely enough. Well, today I got a full refund from her anyway saying that's the way she'd like to be treated. How cool is that? There are a few bad eggs on eBay, but the vast majority are like this seller, from my experience.

I've made hundreds of purchases on ebay, all doll related, and every seller has been 100% reputable. Out of all those hundreds of buys, I've had two problems, both immediately fixed by the sellers. That's why I think counterfeits are such a problem, not just because people may end up buying a fake but because so many more people become reluctant to deal with ebay. I can feel that way myself but I know it's really unfair to the overwhelming majority of sellers who are honest and professional. BTW, I'm not a seller myself, strictly a buyer.

I am so glad that you had such a positive experience. Most of the sellers I have dealt with have been fantastic too, but it only took one really nasty one to turn me off of ebay for months. My dolls are my happy, relaxing place and I don't want anything bad to touch that.
Hmmm . . . now that I think about it, that one nasty person probably saved me a lot of money. LOL
Anyways, I am happy that today is a better day for you!

That's great!
I know that most sellers are pretty reputable but, there are some that aren't and just like everything else in life, they are the ones that
make it hard for the rest of us.
It does make you feel good to find someone totally honest.
I'm glad your experience was a good one on this auction especially after the other experience you had just had!

I'm glad you had a good experience after the bad one! I felt like that a while back, and then I got some really great deals, so I'm back to feeling okay with eBay!

Thanks everyone. I bought the denim wrap dress with the beading (it's the girl-size version of the one that came with the mix-and-match school clothes from a few years ago). It's lovely but it would take my girls 5 years or so to grow into it! So, it's going to a new home as cushioning around a Li'l Punkin that I'm trading.
Thanks to two lovely board members, I'm going to have two new babies coming to the house soon: a blonde Bitty and a blonde girl Bitty Twin. It's a population explosion around here! I'm still planning to e-mail the seller to express my displeasure, but I decided not to return the Punkin/stroller auction.
